The use of microfiltration in the production of cognac and brandy can significantly improve the quality of drinks, give a characteristic glossy shine without changing the organoleptic properties.

Enclosure equipment

A wide range of filtration plants of the brand "CASCADE", designed to work in bottling lines with a capacity from 1.5 to 18 thousand bottles per hour, as well as for soUFenir bottling sites with unregulated performance.

Filtration units can have one, two or three stage performance and are equipped with a pump to provide the necessary pressure and complete development of the service life of the filter elements. Pump binding provides a bypass line with the ability to smoothly adjust the performance of the filtration system and pressure drop across the filter elements.

Filtration units are also available, equipped with an electronic control unit that allows automatic monitoring of the filtration process. The basic version provides for maintaining a predetermined pressure at the outlet of the filtration system and monitoring the presence of fluid in the supply pipeline (protection from dry operation).

Additional features:

At the request of the Customer, the level of automation can be expanded by controlling the degree of blocking of filter elements at each filtering stage, taking into account the life of the filtering elements, a graphic display of the filtering process, etc.

Filter Elements

When filtering cognacs, the choice of filtration system (filtering materials, filtration ratings) must be such as not to change the color of cognac and not worsen its organoleptic properties, preserve its inherent bouquet and ensure glossy transparency, emphasize the beauty and nobility of the drink. Hence the filter requirements:

  • Highest chemical resistance in cognacs, inertness to the medium being filtered. For most polymeric materials, cognac – aggressive environment.
  • The ability to achieve the required degree of purification for a particular brandy of brandy (the required efficiency and filtration rating).
  • Lack of sorbents in filter materials.

Fluoroplast filtering elements - 4 and supermultiple polyethylene - meet the specified requirements.

Experience shows that ordinary cognacs (up to 5 years) are lightened well and acquire a bright glossy shine when filtered on filter elements of the brand ECOPLEN-F with a porous fluoroplastic film - 4 with a rating of 1 micron.

As a pre-filter, ECOPLAST-PE depth filter elements made of polyethylene with a rating of 5-10 microns are recommended.

For vintage cognacs, especially old and very old ones, a more gentle filtering mode is proposed using ECOPLEN filter elements made of high molecular weight polyethylene with a rating of 2-5 microns.

For preliminary and control filtration of cognacs

ECOPLEN-F

brand EFP-400

Pleated, based on a fluoroplastic-4 filter film. Lint removal is excluded. Almost absolute chemical resistance. The large area of the filtering surface provides a high resource of work. Operating temperature up to 120°C.

For the control "polishing" filtering brandy

Filter elements can be installed in housings from other manufacturers.
