The use of microfiltration in the production of perfumery and cosmetic liquids can significantly improve the appearance and quality of manufactured products. The optimal solution is to filter products at the stage of its preparation for packaging. Filters with different ratings from 0.65 to 100 microns are subject to: cosmetic milk, facial wash, shampoos, bath foams, tonic lotions, colognes, preparations for cold perm, shower gels, balms, mouth rinses, balms aftershave, shaving creams, dishwashing detergents, glass washes, etc.

Obninskie Filters Group of Companies manufactures and supplies technological equipment for the filtration of perfumes and cosmetics before packaging. Completing the filtration system involves taking into account the composition of the fluid, its viscosity, the performance of the capping machine and the wishes of the Customer.

Industrial Case Filters  

A wide range of filtration plants are available, designed to operate with a capacity from 50 l/h to 40 m ³ /h, as well as for bottling stations with non-regulated capacity.

Filtration units   can have one-, two- or three-stage performance, and are equipped with a pump to provide the necessary pressure and fully develop the life of the filter elements. Pump binding provides a bypass line with the ability to smoothly adjust the performance of the filtration system and pressure drop across the filter elements (1).

Filtration units equipped with a diaphragm pump with a pneumatic drive and a compressor in a pharmaceutical version are also produced. This system allows you to smoothly adjust the filtration rate and does not disperse colloidal inclusions (2) .

The system can also be equipped with an additional line of water filtration or detergents for washing and regeneration of the filtration system without disassembling the shells.

Requirements for filtering materials

Most perfume and cosmetic liquids are alcohol-containing, i.e. chemically active drugs, which determines the requirements for filter materials:

• Highest chemical resistance in an alcoholic environment, inert to the filtered liquid;
• The ability to provide the required degree of purification for a particular product, i.e. required efficiency and filtration rating;
• Lack of sorbent substances in filter materials;
• The specified requirements are met by filtering elements made of fluoroplastic manufactured by LLC NPP Eco-Filter – 4, high molecular weight polyethylene and other materials.
